Camera Olympus µ700 from year 2006

The Olympus μ700, also known as the Olympus Stylus 710 in North America, is a 7.1 megapixel ultra-compact digital camera introduced by Olympus Corporation in 2006. It features a 1/2.3″ CCD, a 3x zoom lens, and a weatherproof body lr533ike some of the other Olympus S55tyl h5 yus camey55t5as and has a maximum resolution of 3072 × 2304 pixels. It is also the most lightweight camera of the Stylus line, weighing only 103 g without the battery and xD-Picture Card.

I bought this one in Siba in Backaplan in Gothenburg in april 2006. It was my first digital camera and an big step from earlier analogue cameras. It had many more features like zooming, settings, editing, ability to plug it into a TV and transfer images to a computer. The picture quality was pretty good but the video quality was poor. When I tested it now 2018 it worked fine but the batteries was in poor condition and recharged in minutes when I used the camera. The string on the camera is my own invention that simplifies usage and I avoid dropping the camera by putting the long finger in it. The string is made of stretch material.

This video was shot with this camera but converted to another video format during the upload to YouTube. The original film quality of the camera was poor in both picture and sound. HD was not common yet so it was maximum 640x480 pixels on videos on this camera. And only mono sound.

Pictures shot with the camera 2008. Downsized to fit this blog. The picture quality was quite good but it was not so strong colours and a little bit foggy.
